Organization & Aircraft Inventory
5th Fighter Group (Basa Air Base, Pampanga)
This unit is responsible for the primary air defense of the Republic. The aircraft listed below are among the most modern in the entire fleet.
Currently the PAF has two squadrons.


15th Strike Wing (Danilo Atienza Air Base, Cavite)
This unit is responsible for air support for ground forces during combat operations. The aircraft listed here are air-to-surface weaponry.
Their fleet include several squadrons:



205th Tactical Helicopter Wing (Benito Ebuen Air Base, Mactan, Cebu)
This unit is responsible for conducting tactical air operations all over the country. This could either mean transporting infantry soldiers, providing air support to ground troops or conducting light attack operations on enemy targets.



220th Airlift Wing (Benito Ebuen Airbase, Mactan, Cebu)
This unit is primarily responsible for heavy and medium transport operations.




505th Search and Rescue Group (Villamor Air Base)
This unit is responsible for search and rescue operations.




251st Presidential Airlift Squadron (Villamor Air Base)
These are fixed-wing aircraft used for Presidential service and for transport of VIPs.


252nd Presidential Airlift Squadron (Villamor Air Base)
These are used for Presidential/VIP transport.


Air Education and Training Command (Basilio Fernando Air Base, Lipa, Batangas)
This unit is intended for pilot training.


900th Weather Support Group
This unit is used for weather modification/”rainmaker”.
